"She rearranged my kitchen while I was in the hospital and threw away an old pillow case that belonged to my mom."
A very good friend of mine just came home after 8 days in the hospital. She was heavily sedated during her stay but can remember her husband dropping by with his mother to visit. She doesn't remember having any discussions about her home, her clothing, food or dirty laundry but when she arrived home she found that her kitchen cabinets were re-arranged, her clothing had been moved around in her closets and not only was her laundry cleaned but a few items that she kept for sentimental reasons was no where to be found.
When I spoke to her, I heard the anger in her voice and I tried to calm her down. Her husband overheard our telephone conversation and I could hear him tell her:
"She was just trying to help".
I just knew he would be the next one admitted but as it turns out, my friend wound up in the ER!

The husband should have never let his mother come into his wife's home and disrespect her, even though he stated she was only trying to help.
